Parthenocissus quinquefolia 'Redwall'® Troki, also known as Virginia creeper, is an outstanding ornamental climber of Polish origin, selected for its beautiful foliage, its vigour and its spectacular autumn colour. This variety stands out for its large, glossy, decorative leaves, deep green through spring and summer, which in autumn take on a spectacular fiery red tone, creating a striking effect on walls, fences and garden structures.
Parthenocissus 'Redwall'® Troki is a self-clinging climber: its tendrils are equipped with adhesive pads that allow it to attach to a wide range of surfaces without the need for any special support system. It is ideal for quickly covering walls, façades, fences, pergolas, arches, gazebos and trellises, transforming them into elegant green walls.
Vigorous in growth, it can reach a height of around 10–20 metres, adding 1–2 metres a year in ideal conditions. Its dense growth also makes it an excellent ground-cover solution, creating decorative green carpets and helping to protect the soil.
It is an extremely hardy, healthy and undemanding plant: it adapts to a wide range of soils provided they are well drained, and grows well in both full sun and partial shade. Cold hardy and tolerant of urban conditions, it needs little care once established.
