Tree with a spreading crown, up to 6-7 meters tall with large, pubescent leaves, deciduous in late spring. The fruit is green, cone-shaped, with very sweet white pulp. It flowers and vegetates in spring immediately after the leaves fall. Flowering is staggered (until July-August), ripening begins in October and ends in December. Among the tastiest fruits in the world, it is rich in potassium and nitrogen. It prefers light, soft, deep, and well-drained, neutral or slightly acidic soil. Delicate to wind and saltiness, it cannot tolerate temperatures below zero. The "Fino de Jete" variety is the most productive, with excellent quality and size, self-fertile and self-pollinating.
